Support Deployed Marines
Although many military bases are well supplied
and provide most necessities for the Marines,
many still rely on packages from home
for their most basic needs.
Cool Marines helps provide supplies
to those most in need,
along with items of comfort and encouragement."
Cool Marines operates in conjunction with the Healing Field Foundation, a 501 (c) 3, Non-profit foundation. All donations to Cool Marines are tax deductible.
Boot Camp Challenge

Marine families will travel from Salt Lake City to San Diego where they will participate in the annual Boot Camp Challenge to raise money for injured Marines and their families. Money raised from the Boot Camp Challenge will be donated to the Injured Marines Semper Fi Fund.
BOOT CAMP CHALLENGE
Cool Marines Care Packages Include:
Cooling Ties and Caps: Filled with polymer crystals that when soaked in water for a few minutes will absorb the water and remain cool for hours, making the heat a little more tolerable. Temperatures in Iraq can reach 140 degrees. How uncomfortable are you when the temperature reaches 100? Try to imagine how hard 130 or 140 would be to endure. We could not handle it, but our Marines do, and usually without complaining. They have a job to do and they do it because they are Marines. |
Psalm 91 Bandana:
A bandana in the Marine digital camophlage with the comfort of Psalm 91. The Psalm 91 Bandana has found it's way into the hands of thousands of deployed Marines and Sailors, providing comfort in times of trouble. Knowing your Marine possesses the Psalm 91 Bandana in a hostile land has brought a sense of peace to worried Marine moms who pray their sons through their deployment. |
For The Wounded:
We can't begin to understand to anguish of the injuries of war. Many Marines and Soldiers have suffered injuries that keep them hospitalized and in rehabilitation for months or even years. How do we show them how grateful we are for their tremendous sacrifice? Church and school children are drawing pictures and notes of thanks that are put on t-shirts and delivered to the wounded at Walter Reed Army Hospital in Washington, DC and Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Tx. |
Prepaid Calling Cards: U. S. Servicemen can call home from Iraq and Afghanistan for only 4 cents per minute. Cool Marines buys and distributes calling pin numbers to deployed Marine units. $10 will allow a Marine to talk with his loved ones here at home for 250 minutes. What a comfort not only for the Marine but for families here at home waiting to hear from their Marine. Nothing takes the place of hearing their voice.

Care Packages: For deployed servicemen.
Although many bases in Iraq are well supplied and provide many amenities that seem much like home, many Marines are still operating in locations without chow halls, electricity, toilets, or many of the basics we call necessities. We supply some of the basics to these Marines, snack foods, toiletries, items for recreation, with a note of our thanks and appreciation for all they are doing for us. |
Words of Encouragement: For deployed Marines who are so far from home in uncertain circumstances. These dog tags contain an American flag and eagle on one side and Joshua 1:9 on the other: "Be strong and courageous do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9a |
